Because grown-ups deserve field trips, too!
The good folks at the DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve have agreed to give a talk on the Delaware Bay and its unique ecology for a group of poets. Following the talk, we’ll settle in for an on-site generative writing session at the Center. Using provided prompts, we'll take a couple of hours to jumpstart some new pieces drawing on what we've learned.
As a bonus: September 13 is also Coastal Cleanup Day in Delaware! If you’re interested in joining a volunteer effort before our 1:00 PM session, you can sign up here and select “DuPont Nature Center” as your first choice location. Coastal Cleanup Day runs from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Note: the volunteer session is completely optional and not an official part of the Poetry Field Trip.
